Viviana Garcia

Graduate lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) holding a Master in Corporate Law (LL.M.) from New York University (NYU), New York, and a Degree in Asian Studies major in Chinese Studies, from PUCP.  Her areas of specialization include Corporate Law, Project Finance and Asian Practice.


Her experience includes acting as counsel to China Development Bank (CDB) in the first facility agreement entered by this entity with Peruvian State owned bank (COFIDE) in 2009 and later, with private bank, Interbank in 2011. Currently, she continues providing advice to CDB.


Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Sapet Development Perú Inc. (subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation - CNPC), Sany Perú S.A.C., China National Construction & Agricultural Machinery Import & Export Corporation, CNPX Xibu de Ingeniería de Perforación Ltd, United America Petroleum S.A.C. are some of her representative clients. Additionally, she has provided advice in specific matters to Huawey del Perú S.A.C. and ZTE Corporation.


In 2011 she has been considered by Chambers Global as a leading lawyer in banking and finance matters, as well as in her Asian expertise.

Regarding other experience, she has been consultant to the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), financing branch of the IDB Group in Washington D.C. (2002-2003).  As well, she has worked in telecommunication company, Telefónica del Perú S.A.A. (2000-2001) and in the Unfair Competition Committee of the Peruvian National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (1998-1999) 

 Former Professor of Professional Responsibility at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) (2004–2005).
